Program Director

The Women’s Initiative is a nonprofit that provides vital mental health services to women through a culturally responsive, trauma-informed perspective, centered on the core belief in every woman’s innate capacity to heal. We are seeking a Program Director to develop, manage, and implement our mental health, social support, and education & outreach programs, which aim to make care accessible to every woman, including and especially those in historically underserved communities. The Program Director will possess superb clinical skills as both a therapist and supervisor, with an extensive background in trauma-informed clinical work and demonstrated excellence in working with diverse populations and addressing issues of inequality and oppression. The Program Director is also the agency’s chief liaison with community providers and is responsible for building and nurturing partnerships with other organizations. As both a team member within the agency and as an external community liaison the Program Director should have a demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative team environments. Successful candidates will have a rich understanding of how social identity affects individuals’ ability to access care and possess a demonstrated commitment to creating inclusivity. Bilingual Mental Health Counselor

The Women’s Initiative is a nonprofit that provides vital mental health services to women through a culturally responsive, trauma-informed perspective, centered on the core belief in every woman’s innate capacity to heal. We are seeking a part-time bilingual mental health counselor (Spanish/English; 20 hours a week) to provide compassionate clinical care and coordinate community outreach and education efforts as a part of our Bienestar Program for Latina women. Successful candidates will have a minimum of one year of experience as a master’s-level counselor or social worker and be team-oriented with a strengths-based approach to services. The Bilingual Mental Health Counselor should have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and on social media platforms. We are a seeking a candidate who is passionate about working with women of all backgrounds and has a demonstrated interest in multicultural issues with an emphasis on those affecting the Latino community. Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work required.  Licensed or license-eligible required. EOE. Bilingual Receptionist

The Women’s Initiative is a nonprofit that provides vital mental health services to women through a culturally responsive, trauma-informed perspective, centered on the core belief in every woman’s innate capacity to heal. We are seeking a full-time Bilingual (Spanish/English) Receptionist who will be responsible for providing a warm welcome to clients, managing phone inquiries, scheduling, and assisting with records and data management. Successful candidates will be patient, flexible, reliable and organized; possess attention to detail, the ability to follow through with multiple conflicting demands, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Bilingual Receptionist is a professional with a client-centered approach with experience working with diverse populations in a medical or human services agency. Bachelor’s in psychology, social work or other human services degree preferred. EOE.
