Volunteer

Volunteers serve as board members, administrative supporters, clinical counselors, program facilitators for our resilience offerings, helpers for special events, and more. We invite volunteers to serve in person or remotely.

We thank our volunteers for their unyielding passion and support!

Open Volunteer and Internship Roles

Outreach Volunteers: Help spread the word about our counseling and resilience programs through tabling at local health fairs, community events, concerts, and neighborhood celebrations! Outreach volunteers are paired with experienced TWI staff or volunteers and share basic information about our services with the community. Volunteers assist with setting up and taking down the table and materials and cover a 2–3 hour shift at occasional weekend events, spring through fall. We’re looking for warm and friendly people who believe that everyone has the capacity to heal from trauma and transform challenging life experiences into positive change.

Please let us know if you could represent our affinity-based healing programs at outreach events. Our Bienestar program is led by and serves Latina women and the Latine community, and our Sister Circle program is led by and serves Black women and POC.

Volunteer therapists may provide counseling via telehealth or in person (at TWI offices or in their private practice).

TWI asks for a one-year commitment and 2–3 counseling participants/week from volunteer therapists, and will provide occasional, no cost trainings and group supervision
