5NP Acupuncture: Relax and Restore
2nd and 4th Tuesdays, beginning October 14; group session from 4–5pm
Invite relaxation and restoration through group acupuncture treatment. The NADA auricular (ear) acupuncture protocol is a non-invasive treatment that involves the gentle insertion of five needles into specific points in the ear to stimulate the nervous system. This treatment helps to reduce stress, uplift depressive feelings, and relieve anxiety. It can also help with improving sleep and provide a general sense of well-being. Led by Marty Paciocco, NADA Certified Acudetox Specialist.

Each session will feature a discussion of a different type of media, including podcasts, book chapters, and documentaries, to cater to different learning styles and deepen our collective understanding. Our discussions will span every continent and various time periods, providing a rich, global perspective on queer history. This group welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and levels of knowledge to join in the conversation, reflect on the past, and connect with the broader queer community. Finding Home: Queer Experiences With Family, Grief, and Belonging
Thursdays, October 23–November 20
Finding Home is a supportive space for LGBTQ+ individuals to explore the complexities of family, grief, and belonging. Through guided discussion, reflection, and creativity, this group holds space for processing experiences of disconnection and loss, while also offering a place to explore what it means to create and nurture chosen family. Topics may include navigating familial boundaries, reconciling or releasing relationships, grief rituals, and what it means to create a sense of home. Grounded in affirming, trauma-informed care, this group welcomes all queer identities and experiences. This group is open to all queer identities 18+ who reside in the city of Charlottesville or the counties of Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, Louisa, or Fluvanna. Q Social Hour

Winter Self-Care Workshop
The holidays aren’t joyful for everyone, and many people feel sad or anxious amidst all the merrymaking. Whether the upcoming season activates unhappy memories, reminds you of a loss, or is simply stressful, we invite you to join us for a workshop on winter self-care. Topics include coping with grief and loneliness, managing seasonal mood changes and navigating extra pressures this time of year. Participants will receive a personal wellness package to jumpstart their winter self-care. 5NP Acupuncture: Relax and Restore
2nd and 4th Tuesdays, beginning October 14; group session from 4–5pm
Invite relaxation and restoration through group acupuncture treatment. The NADA auricular (ear) acupuncture protocol is a non-invasive treatment that involves the gentle insertion of five needles into specific points in the ear to stimulate the nervous system. This treatment helps to reduce stress, uplift depressive feelings, and relieve anxiety. It can also help with improving sleep and provide a general sense of well-being. Monthly Nature Walks With TWI
1st Sundays of the month, beginning October 5, 3–4:30pm
Join TWI on a monthly nature walk to promote movement and connection with nature. Each month, we will choose a different walking trail to explore as a group. Registered participants will be emailed the location of that month’s trail two weeks prior to the meetup. All chosen trails will be beginner friendly. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring your own water bottle and anything else you may need to feel prepared. Children are welcome to join along with their supervising adult. Led by various TWI staff members.

We all carry stories about who we are and where we’ve been. Sometimes, healing begins when we learn to see those stories through a new lens. In this group, we’ll use short stories that explore mental health themes rooted in resilience to reflect, reframe, and reconnect with our own strength.
