We recognize and honor the courage it takes to seek support. Wellness consultations are provided on a first come, first served basis; we suggest arriving or calling toward the beginning of the clinic and no later than one hour prior to the end of clinic hours. (Please see schedule on this page.)

Please note: We strive to provide this service to all who need it, but in the event that demand exceeds our available resources on any given day, our team will make every effort to connect you with appropriate care.

How to Prepare for Your Telehealth Session

A counseling session at The Women’s Initiative is a space to care for yourself. You deserve to give your full attention to this time. To help honor this commitment, you and your therapist may touch base about some of the following topics:

  1. Location: Do you have a safe, private space for your telehealth session? We ask that clients refrain from driving and/or running errands during scheduled appointments.

  2. Distractions: Are there roommates, children, or other adults in your space during your session? How can you and your therapist address this and make a plan for you to be engaged in this work?

  3. Other concerns: What else might you need to ensure you are honoring this commitment to yourself before, during, and after your session?

We also invite you to read this letter from our Clinical Team with more suggestions for honoring this time.
