Carolyn Schuyler, LCSW

Carolyn served as The Women's Initiative's inaugural program director, providing therapy to women, forging partnerships with community partners, and launching outreach programs. In 2017, she founded Wildrock, a nonprofit nature playscape and ecotherapy center, designed to promote nature connection for community mental health. A psychotherapist with a specialty in trauma, Carolyn is currently a visiting scholar at the University of Virginia teaching ecotherapy and mindfulness.
Dr. Leonda “Leigh” Williams-Keniston, PhD

Leigh is vice president of academic affairs and workforce development at Piedmont Virginia Community College. Her board experience includes serving on PVCC and the Virginia Community College System Diversity and Inclusion committees, YMCA Executive Board, Virginia Humanities Festival of the Book, Virginia Network, and as a community member on the Project Rebound taskforce. Leigh is happily married to Les Keniston and is the mother of three grown-up children.
George Worthington
Finance Committee Chair
George is the dementia services director at the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services. He serves on the Charlottesville Area Alliance, Virginia Caregiver Coalition, and Health Commissioner's Advisory Council on Health Disparity and Health Equity, and leads Dementia Friendly Central Virginia, raising awareness and understanding of dementia and reducing stigma. George is an avid knitter and loves spending time on their farm with his husband Cameron and their two dogs.
