Self-Compassion: A Poem

By Kishara Joy Griffin, MSW, Sister Circle Therapist

Gentle whispers to ears
Guided by love
The  hands of Grace
wipes
 all
tears
Kindness fills
The air so full
Like dew covered grass It blankets the soul
It’s   patch work to heart a tender word
Jubilance becomes an  echo birthed from dark
Buds of compassion
Formed
Then bloom
The fragrance of visibility
Consumed the room
Compassion :
A great energy Of kindness
Similar to  flower
Nurtured bees
Or
The Human life touched
By
Cycles of Grace
Found in the stillness
 &
Growth  of  trees
Compassion :
A great Energy extended
Beyond the landscape of earth
Compassion:
 Discovered in the
eyes of the observer
Bearing witness to
 hurt!
Compassion: the greatest energy felt through  circles of support
Compassion: the cornerstone of love
